Bettina Fest
Nuclear Safety Campaign Organizer
Bettina works with UCS members, supporters, activists, and experts to build support for the campaign efforts of the Global Security program with a focus on nuclear power safety and security issues. Her work includes education and outreach efforts to state and local policy makers, as well as other advocacy organizations. Prior to joining UCS, Bettina worked for three years as a legislative director in the Massachusetts state legislature. In 2004, as the legislative director to Massachusetts State Representative Patricia Jehlen, Bettina assisted in coalition work to successfully advance legislation, which was signed into law by the governor, to compensate people who had been wrongfully convicted of crimes. She holds a law degree from Suffolk University.
