Carina Barnett-Loro

Climate Impacts Campaign Organizer

Carina works with UCS members, supporters, activists, and experts to build support for the climate impacts work within the Climate and Energy Program. She works on both the coastal and mountain west teams, with a focus on outreach in Virginia, west Florida, New Mexico, and Montana. Prior to joining UCS, Carina worked for the North Carolina Chapter of the Sierra Club, where she managed a campaign to build public awareness of and support for development of the state’s coastal wind resources and organized public health professionals to oppose the construction of a coal-fired cement kiln. Carina studied Environmental Sciences and Policy and Latin American Studies at Duke University, and spent a year after graduation honing her organizing skills with Green Corps.
