Leslie works for the Food & Environment program at UCS to engage members and experts to support campaign efforts, as well as build partnerships and coalitions with crucial allies. Prior to joining UCS, she spent five years at the Chesapeake Climate Action Network, first as a campus and community organizer, and then as a campaign director. Before that, she spent a year with Green Corps, training as an environmental organizer and running four campaigns on the ground. She has helped shut down a coal plant, campaigned against a natural gas export facility, and built support for anti-fracking legislation in Maryland. She has a B.A. in environmental studies from Illinois Wesleyan University.
