Meghan leads legislative and regulatory campaigns to help develop and advance policies that clean our air and reduce U.S. oil use, including improved vehicle fuel efficiency and the production of clean cellulosic biofuels. Meghan has more than a decade of experience in public policy in both the public and private sectors, and began her career on Capitol Hill working for the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Prior to joining UCS, Meghan was a senior associate at AJW, Inc., a public policy consulting firm in Washington, D.C., where she worked to enhance market opportunities and remove market barriers for innovative energy and environmental technologies. In 2010, she led a coalition of more than 500 environmental, science-based, public health, industry, and state and local government groups in a successful effort to reauthorize the Diesel Emission Reduction Act. She earned her B.A. from Wake Forest University and her M.A. from Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
