Barbara Briggs is the senior campaign organizer and corporate accountability analyst for the Climate & Energy program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. In her role, Ms. Briggs organizes campaigns to hold fossil fuel corporations accountable for their role in climate change.

Prior to joining UCS, Ms. Briggs was associate director with the Institute for Global Labour and Human Rights (formerly the National Labor Committee), a globally focused nonprofit human rights organization. At the Institute, she played a key role in campaigns, research reports, and press exposés that educated the US public, and helped to drive policy debate on the human rights of workers, the responsibilities of US-based corporations, and the need for stronger regulation in the global supply chain.
