The changing climate puts cultural heritage in the United States and around the world at risk, but this has not been comprehensively addressed in climate policy. In order to maintain the vital legacy of cultural heritage and its ongoing contributions, concerned stakeholders must collaborate to address the risks to our shared heritage and to build a more resilient future.

This call to action was drafted by representatives of over twenty local, national, and international organizations who came together at the Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, February 2 – 4, 2015, to consider strategies and develop an action agenda for preserving and continuing cultural heritage in a changing climate. As a co-convener of the summit, the Union of Concerned Scientists agreed to host this sign-on page as a service to the cultural heritage community. The conclusions and interpretations presented here are those of the author(s) and not necessarily of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, its trustees, or its staff.
