NRC Oversight of Nuclear Plant Security
Dr. Edwin Lyman, a Senior Scientist in the UCS Global Security Program, testified on May 26, 2005 before the Senate Subcommittee on Clean Air, Climate Change and Nuclear Safety of the Committee on Environment and Public Works. He was asked to discuss the effectiveness of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in overseeing the security and safety of nuclear power plants in the United States.
