California Green Business Principles
Support the real green business pledge for clean energy and innovation
Recently, investigative journalists exposed the players behind the so-called “AB 32 Implementation Group,” an organization that has publicly claimed to be a constructive voice for California’s global warming plans. The group is actually headed by two associations (the California Chamber of Commerce and California Manufacturers & Technology Association) that have a long history of fighting AB 32, California's landmark legislation to reduce climate change. Among the group’s members are 22 of California’s biggest global warming polluters.
Fortunately, hundreds of forward-thinking California businesses that support the state’s clean energy plans have found their voice too. If you own your own business, we encourage you to sign the pledge of the California Business Alliance for a Green Economy. See Related Articles and Resources for more information.

Clean Energy and Climate Security: Principles for Action
- Fossil fuel dependence and energy inefficiency hinder economic security.
- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions means reducing overall waste, which enhances my business operations and boosts my bottom line.
- When it comes to climate change, the most expensive thing we can do is nothing.
- California leadership on climate policy will place businesses at a competitive advantage.
- I support continued implementation of California’s clean energy and climate security plan, which grew out of the historic law, AB 32.
