The National Environmental Coalition on Invasive Species (NECIS) is made up of fifteen national and regional conservation groups that promote sound state, federal, and international policy. The group seeks to prevent harmful non-native, or invasive, species from being introduced, becoming established, and spreading in the United States and other nations. The coalition supports ecologically sound methods of prevention, research, control, and eradication (where appropriate). Also, NECIS aims to enhance cooperation among environmental, recreational, and other natural resource-oriented or scientific nonprofit groups.

The coalition represents more than six million individual members and supporters and has links to hundreds of other groups, including affiliates in every U.S. state and efforts in dozens of countries. In its mission statement, the group notes that its members are motivated by concern for native species and their habitats; for the sustainability of environmental, economic, and public health efforts; and for moral and aesthetic considerations.

NECIS partners include: Center for International Environmental Law, Defenders of Wildlife, Ecological Society of America, Environmental Defense, Environmental Law Institute, Great Lakes United, International Center for Technology Assessment, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, National Audubon Society, National Wildlife Federation, National Wildlife Refuge Association, Native Plant Conservation Campaign, The Nature Conservancy, The Ocean Conservancy and the Union of Concerned Scientists.
