Profile

John Rogers, a senior analyst with UCS' Clean Energy Program, manages the Northeast Clean Energy Project, which is helping implement a range of renewable energy, climate, and other clean energy policies that UCS has been promoting in the region. Mr. Rogers has been working primarily on renewable electricity standards and the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. He also serves on the advisory boards of several nonprofit organizations that support increased funding for U.S. renewable energy and rural energy access worldwide.

Mr. Rogers joined UCS in 2006 after working for 15 years on private and public clean energy initiatives. He was a co-founder of Soluz, Inc., a leading developer of clean energy solutions for rural markets and a renewable energy analyst at DynCorp I&ET. He also spent three and a half years in Honduras as a Peace Corps volunteer.  He earned a B.A. at Princeton University and a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan.
