02/12/2013  Fission Stories #129 lamented the plight of the nuclear Maytag repairmen – workers at nuclear power reactors that have been shut down for a long time with uncertain futures.

10/02/2009  Workers severely damaged thick concrete reactor containment walls when they cut a hole to replace steam generators. The ensuing inquiry concluded that the workers had applied more pressure than the concrete could withstand—a mistake that cost more than $500 million.
