05/21/1996   Fission Stories #104 described how foam material being applied to seal cracks in the concrete inlet station inadvertently got into the water. The owner tried downplaying the significance by claiming that the material floated and therefore could not clog the pumps. Then the owner paid a $650,000 fine to the NRC for the excuse that didn’t float.
