This year’s Scientific Integrity Editorial Cartoon Contest winner is John Klossner of Maine. His cartoon graces the cover of the 2012 Scientific Integrity Calendar, as well as the month of June.
John lives with his wife, 2 children, 1 dog, 2 budgerigars, several chickens, and an uncounted colony of bats in South Berwick. They all have faith in science.
When John Klossner began drawing cartoons professionally, he worked with numerous nonprofit publications. As we all know, this includes a sizable amount of science-related journals, newsletters, and magazines, and provided him a large filing cabinet worth of subjects to comment on.
His cartoons and illustrations have appeared in a wide variety of print and electronic publications, including Computerworld magazine, Federal Computer Week, The New Yorker, and The Wall Street Journal.
Previous cartoons of his also appeared in July in the 2011 SI Calendar and June of the
2010 Calendar. John’s other work can also be seen at his website, www.jklossner.com .
