Eliza Vellines Phillips is the interim Chief Development Officer with the Union of Concerned Scientists. Ms. Phillips is an experienced philanthropy executive with more than 25 years of experience working with institutions, nonprofits and foundations. For the past 16 years, she has run her own development consultancy focusing on nonprofit clients with annual budgets ranging from $5 million to $80 million.
Ms. Phillips is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Virginia with degrees in history and environmental science. She currently serves on the board of the University of Delaware’s Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship at the Lerner School of Business, the Yale Parents Leadership Council and the vestry of Christ Church Christiana Hundred.
