Frances Moore Lappé

Frances Moore Lappé is the author or co-author of fourteen books, including the 1971 bestseller Diet for a Small Planet and runs the Small Planet Institute in Cambridge, MA. In Fall 2017, she coauthored Daring Democracy: Igniting Power, Meaning, and Connection for the America We Want with Adam Eichen. The co-founder of two national organizations that focus on food and the roots of democracy, in 1987 she became the fourth American to receive the Right Livelihood Award.
