Kathy M. Washienko

Kathy joined UCS decades ago while getting her MPH at the University of Michigan. Her interests in public health and the environment share a focus on long-term, preventive thinking guided by a commitment to social justice. She has been focused for the last 15 years on fighting climate change, including as a long-time board member of Climate Solutions in the Pacific Northwest, a member of E8, a cleantech angel investment group, and an adviser to RealityTeam.org, an organization fighting social media disinformation, including on climate. She is currently enrolled in a Master of Environmental Law and Policy program at Vermont Law School.
