Meghan Hassett is the Midwest Clean Energy Advocate for the Climate & Energy program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. Working with coalition partners, experts, and activists, she engages in regulatory and legislative arenas to promote policies supporting an equitable clean energy future. Prior to joining UCS, Meghan managed a successful 2018 campaign for Illinois Senate. Prior to that, she was a campaign organizer at Environment Massachusetts, where she led outreach efforts to strengthen the state’s climate and energy policies, including the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
Meghan earned a BA in sociology and economics from Dartmouth College.
