Michelle Robinson is director of the Clean Transportation program and a recognized expert on state and federal transportation policy and the legislative debates surrounding them.
With more than 27 years of experience in policy advocacy and issue campaigns, Ms. Robinson has played an integral role in some of the country’s biggest energy and transportation advancements, including the historic fuel economy and global warming emissions standards for new cars and light trucks.
Ms. Robinson is often cited in publications such as the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and USA Today, and she has appeared on news programs including 60 Minutes and the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.
Before coming to UCS in 1992, Ms. Robinson served as executive director of PeacePac and legislative director of the Council for a Livable World. She also consulted for several organizations including the California League of Conservation Voters.
