Deborah Moore is the Western States Senior Campaign Manager at the Union of Concerned Scientists. In her role, she develops and implements campaign plans for UCS climate, renewable energy, water, and clean vehicles work, advancing advocacy, outreach, partnership, and analytic activities to achieve policy solutions in in California, Oregon, and Washington. Before coming to UCS, Deborah founded and directed the Green Schools Initiative to transform K-12 schools into community models of sustainability and promote environmental literacy. Prior to that, she was senior scientist at the Environmental Defense Fund, and served as board chair of International Rivers. Deborah has an M.S. in energy and resources from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in physics from Reed College.
