Eleanor Fort engages members, activists, and experts to advance priorities for the Clean Vehicles program. In her role, she connects the UCS network with the broader public, industry leaders, policymakers, and the media to support progress on fuel efficiency, electric vehicles, and autonomous vehicles—as well as holding automakers and the oil industry accountable for spreading misinformation, blocking progress, and producing polluting products. Through strategic advocacy campaigns, her work seeks to build a cleaner and more equitable transportation system. Prior to joining UCS, Eleanor mobilized businesses to advocate for climate, energy, and transportation policies with Ceres. Eleanor is an alumna of Green Corps, a fellowship for grassroots environmental organizing. She graduated from Vassar College where she studied political science and geography.
