Holly received her Ph.D. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering with a Designated Emphasis in Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside (UCR) in 2018, where she researched the fate of waterborne pathogens in agricultural environments. While at UCR, she helped found the Science to Policy program, contributed to several California state advisory committees, and worked for the California Council on Science and Technology. Broadly, Holly is passionate about connecting food and water science to policy and advocacy outcomes. To that end, she is currently serving as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow in the Office of Agriculture Policy at the U.S. State Department. Recently, she served as founding co-Director of the National Science Policy Network and Coordinator for the inaugural Commonwealth of Virginia Engineering and Science Policy Fellowship.
