Michigan Environmental Justice Advocates Get Their Seat at the Table

UCS set up meetings between food researchers and key members of Congress before a budget vote. The result: two crucial programs received a combined $27.3 million increase in funding.

Clean Freight Coalition Victory

Our California clean freight coalition scored a victory with a state-managed air quality plan that starts the process of reducing emissions from ports, warehouses, and rail yard to cut emissions. Learn more.

College Divests from Fossil Fuels, Cites UCS

March 2017

The Barnard College Board of Trustees voted to divest from all fossil fuel companies that deny climate science—informed by a task force that cited the UCS Climate Accountability Scorecard as a guide.

Massachusetts Moves on Electric Vehicle Access

January 2017

Close to UCS headquarters, Governor Charlie Baker signed into a law a bill expanding access to electric vehicles. UCS worked in coalition to meet with legislators on the bill and tout its benefits.
